Relax on your open-top, double-decker bus as you cruise the streets of Manhattan on either the Uptown, Downtown or Midtown Loop, and listen to your passionate guide share facts and anecdotes about the city's history and celebrated landmarks.     This is a fabulous tour! I love doing the Hop-on Hop-off tours in every city when I'm only there for a day or two. You get to get a glimpse of everything - then step off when you really want an in-depth view/experience. Cheaper than taxi's to get around... and you feel safer than transit.

    Our tour guide, Matt, on the Night Tour, was exceptional with his information and presentation! I loved the lights and going over the Manhattan Bridge to Brooklyn. Very pretty and gave you a different perspective from the day tours. Of course, the day tours showed New York City and where we needed to go! Matts driver femalename begins with an M too was excellent as well. Highly recommend the Hop on Hop Off Big Bus Tours!

    The tour guides are amazing! Buses are on time. There are different staffs at the major stops available to help and organize the tourists. Danny from Brooklyn Loop is the B-E-S-T! He is full of humor and everyone is engaged during the whole trip. Kudos to the whole team!

    The weather was not the greatest so it was nice to be able to spend the day on the buses riding all over the city. I went to places I would not have been able to cover walking. Makes me look forward to a longer trip next time. There was no time for hopping on and off and still seeing the large amount of the city that these tours cover. One needs more time and in the future I plan on more time and spending one day alone on the downtown loop,

    Had a good experience with the Big Bus team. Most all employees were very friendly and helpful. Some of the tour guides were outstanding and the others were above average. We had a lot of detours due to the Rockefeller Christmas lighting and an event going on at the United Nations. This was out of Big Buses control. We chose Big bus based on their reviews and from others experiences on the competition. I would recommend Big Bus Hop-on Hop-off.

    I would recommend this to anyone. The tour was the way to go, not only did we get to see everything, the hop on hop off saved us a lot of walking. The tour guides were very informative and sometimes funny, lol. We would absolutely do this again.

    I took the 48 hr all 4 routes plus night tour and thoroughly enjoyed all. Saw Brooklyn and above Central Park and heard about the history without any transportation issues or hassles. Definitely good use of money and time.

    This tour was AWESOME! The extra day and the extra tours/coupons were great also. We really got our monies worth and really enjoyed the bus routes. We were able to ride the blue line, the red line and the yellow line also - all within three days. The staff was friendly and knowledge. All the info provided while riding the bus was great - right from true New Yorkers! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get around Manhattan and not ride the subway or spend lots of money on taxis.

    Great tour with very knowledgeable live guides. There are many tours available in NYC so be careful that you get this one...look for the one with the brown bus! Excellent value for money if you buy the two day pass with extras such as Liberty and Ellis Islands included ...well worth seeing.

    We had a wonderful time on this tour. It was very informative as well, narrated by Kevin who was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was well worth the price! It is a great way to see what you places you want to explore in greater detail and then get back on the but for more sightseeing.

    You have to take your online booking voucher to a welcome office to trade in for a ticket - altho there was an express line, it did take some time. The bus stop was close to the office and there were long queues for the Downtown tour. However, busses were called up and only the top deck is used so you get all the views. It does take some time and traffic is often a hindrance but it is worth these frustrations. I did start trying to catch a bus at 8am by the UN buildings, but, as I had to go to the office, I did not actually board a bus until 10am! I used the bus as a tour bus as I only had 1 day and therefore not possible to hop on and off. Would recommend as an orientation tour .

    Great way to cover as much of New York as possible, booked 3 day pass managed all three bus routes incl canal cruise and night tour, would thoroughly recommend big bus, guides very knowledgable and buses frequent. Only issue spent 3 hours hanging around waiting for cruise which departs at 2.30 p.m, had I known this I would have made plans to catch 1.0pm bus from Times Square as opposed to 10.0am

    we bought the 2 day Hop-on-Hop off Tour. It was great value for money. We did Up Town and half of Mid Town on day 1 and then did Brooklyn and the other half of Mid town and the cruise the next day.Shame it was raining on day two, but Big Bus provide those great see through plastic ponchos for free. :

    Very nice. Although you have to wait around 30 min for each bus it is a great mean of transportation around the big apple so you can get to know the area and visit places of interest.You need at least 3 days to really enjoy manhattan and it's attractions. I only had 1 day and it was a great though

    This a must in NY .Good way to see all area of city. We prefer walking in NY as it is a walking city, but it was nice because there are tour guides on every buses and for 1st timers it gives you a good lay out of the city.Walk a lot in NY blocks are short ruining north south. You can cover 25 blocks easy in 30 min.Blocks east -west are a little longer. Remember it is a grid city and very easy to explore. Lots of attractions are close together.

    We enjoyed the 3 day pass because it gave us the flexibility to see many different parts of the city over the course of our stay. I would caution people to allow extra time in your schedule from getting from point A to B as traffic and lines of waiting people have to be factored into your timing.We took the Circle Tour and it was conveniently marked as to where to go to exchange our ticket and what line to enter to catch the ferry. Guides, especially Nick, were knowledgeable and they distributed ear buds for the tour and ponchos when it rained!

    Took the 48 hour tour - saw Uptown, Downtown, Brooklyn and night tour. If cold at all, make sure to dress in layers - it gets cold and windy on the top of the bus. All tour guides were very knowledgeable, the Brooklyn tour guide was very funny - reminded us of Melissa McCarthy.

    Worth every penny! This tour will take you pretty much anywhere you want to see in NYC!!! The best part is that you can hop off when you want, for as long as you like and you can rest assured that you can catch another bus when you're ready.     Really enjoyed a snapshot of all the important Manhattan sites. This tour should be taken first to acclimate yourself with NYC and then decide where you want to hop off and back on. The tour guides were all amazingly good and we learned a lot about the history of NYC. Wish we had another couple of days to visit museums, neighborhoods and famous NY eateries.

    I bought my 72 hour bus tour voucher in advance, but unfortunately couldn't make the most of it as a snow blizzard hit the city on my first day there, so didn't get to use my free night bus ride or boat tour. However, the uptown circuit, taking in Central Park, Harlem and surrounding area was magical in the snow the following day. The tour guide was very informative and the top front of the bus is covered, so the views were really good too.

    We went on 2 different big bus tours. The one around Central Park, Harlem etc was the best but I honestly think that it's the commentator who makes the trip. Ours was sensational with anecdotes about people who lived in the areas we covered and the history behind the places we visited. Although not a 'genuine' New Yorker, he had lived in the area since 1979 and you could tell that he adored his adopted city. Definitely take at least one of these tours as it is well worth it.

    We LOVED the hop on hop off bus! We took the midtown and downtown lines entirely to see everything and then went around again to stop at the sights that interested us. The many lines intersect enough that even my 82 year old mother could get from spot to spot without too much walking. Recommend this highly.

    Had a fantastic time. The people who drive these buses are heros to me because I would not drive in this city for any amount of cash in the world and they do it everyday. Day in and Day out and God bless them in doing it. Cause the traffic was so bad I don't know how they do it with out hitting someone but they do. The Guides are the greatest. They know everything about the city and they tell it in a way that makes it so very interesting and funny. Great Guys.

    Thoroughly enjoyed the tours, Viator also include a tour of Brooklyn and a boat trip around the Statue of Liberty plus a night tour of the city lights if the 48 hour ticket is booked. A great way to see the city and the guides were very informative and most of them with some very amusing stories. We had a great two days on the buses and were sorry when it was over.

    We had a two day pass and made the most of it - we did the downtown tour the first day which included the Hornblower boat trip, then the night trip which took us briefly across the Manhattan bridge over to Brooklyn and on the following day the uptown trip which goes as far as Harlem. Finally on the second evening we used the bus to help us get to our nightime destination many thanks to Jocelyn our guide who is an absolute gem of a lady - she worked a miracle to get us to our destination and we cannot thank her enough - she is a credit to the Big Bus Company.
