The boat trip was all fine, on time etc. however, on the way out they were keen to sell additional trips when we were in Venice. This was fine and their right to do so, however, I think we were misled on a particular additional trip we took with them and the fact that they would only take cash as payment so we had to withdrew from a cash machine and pay on the return boat trip.We chose a water taxi return to the ferry. We were due to meet in St Marx square at 3.45pm we were told we would be in water taxis of no more than 8 and they usually take more and we would be shown the sites as we go. This went very wrong. There was a severe thunder storm and when we met at the square, there was no explaining what we had to do when we got to the water taxis, we just all followed the lady holding up an umbrella. It was chaos at the water taxis,me were all getting soaked and nobody seemed to know where we should go, queuing only to find this was the wrong queue, then out tickets hadn't been validated. When we finally got on the water taxi, they were packed to the max and no pointing out of any of the sights. For what we paid felt a little ripped off and wouldn't have done the trip had I have known. If you do this trip, make sure you take a debit card to get out cash if you haven't enough and do your research before as to the trips you want to do. Mother water taxi trip isn't worth it.It was good to visit Venice, my second time, I really did it for my husband and son who have never been. Our opinion was, Rovinj blew us away far more than Venice! Ticked the box to we have visited but glad we didn't doma weekend city break to Venice.
